LOWBEN’s additional $.40 and $30 indemnity levels require premiums that are 80 percent and 60 percent, respectively, of the $50 indemnity level premium. In both options once a policy is purchased, premiums remain constant over time. For new purchasers after 1986, the initial premium and benefit are assumed to increase 5.8 percent a year.
